Sombrero Cake

Claire wanted to decorate her own cake so I only helped with assembly. You'll need to make two cakes according to directions. One in a batter bowl from Pampered Chef and one in a large round cake pan. I actually used a deep dish pizza pan.

Turn both cakes out onto plates about 10 minutes after you take them out of the oven. Allow both cakes to cool completely.

Now, let's get the party started.

Measure around where you'll need to cut, you want a small dip so the "hat" can sit into the brim.
Hollow out the "hat" part
Put the top of the hat on the brim and decorate

She did a FABULOUS Job!!
